Black Throated Green Warbler
48 x 76" diptych
The Black Throated Green Warbler has not been as widely studied in recent decades as other species and mch can be learned about it and its nesting biology. It lives and breeds significantly in the northeast coniferous forests. The voice of this male sings a distinctive song which may last up to an hour and indeed, one male sang 486 songs in one hour. It ranges as far south as Mexico, Central America, and the West Indies during the winter. It can decline when the forest fragments by natural or manmade events.
