Extinct Birds of North America: Bachman's Warbler, Heath Hen, Labrador Duck, Eskimo Curlew, and the Dusky Seaside Sparrow are shown above left to right. There are others on the list, but photos of these were available when in museums, or they were photographed before extinction. The Passenger Pigeon is one of the better known extinct birds which went into extinction in the early 1900's because of excessive hunting.
