Sandhill Cranes in Flight
18 x 24 in., ink on claybord
Sandhill Cranes in Flight are a beautiful sight. They hold interest in many cultures around the world, most notably in Japanese art. Their graceful lines and wonderful dances are a delight. The Michigan Audubon Sanctuary consisting of 1,000 acres of land and water marsh in Southeast Michigan and the Phyllis Haehule Memorial are hosts each fall for great numbers of migratory Sandhills. Numerous Sandhill Crane Festivals are also held in the United States.
